Rachel from Two Loves Studio is an amazing food photographer and photography teacher.
Her struggles:
She reached out to me when she needed a website that would really stir her visitors to action.
Her biggest requests were to make the most of the header area of her homepage to really grab visitors attention, quickly explain how she can help them, and compel them to act.
What we did:
To cover her biggest wish for her site, I created a special section for her call to action where she can just swap out the images and text as often as she wants to keep it fresh for visitors.
We didn’t want to take up too much of the prime real estate at the top of her site with her logo and menu, so I created a condensed version with the logo overlapping her call to action. It’s a fun detail, but it also helps the visitors eyes to flow naturally from one section to another.
She also wanted to highlight her products (courses and e-books) often throughout her website and blog. We highlighted 4 resources that her visitors commonly wanted help with before adding a fun personal introduction and then showing her latest blog posts.
Another feature Rachel really wanted was a more interactive and clickable footer area, so I created a few options for her and we settled on one with a newsletter sign up, a simple menu, a super quick intro, and social links.
Rachel is fun and laid back, but also very professional, so I wanted her blog to look that way as well, so we added little unexpected, but refined touches throughout the design like offset titles and text.
The Results:
Rachel is very happy with her new site. The loading speed is much improved over the previous one, and she can customize and update most of it herself as she needs to.
With her new site so focused and clear, her newsletter list is growing faster than ever!
