The Total Blog Package

Stuck with a pre-made theme that’s not helping you achieve your traffic goals or reflecting your vision?

You’re killin’ it in the blogging world. You’re well over the 10K mark on IG, and you’re making a full-time income from your blog. You put in long days, planning, writing, shooting (and re-shooting), learning, and making sure your SEO is on point.

But…you’re struggling to leverage all your past content to get those new visitors to stick around. They also recognize your blog design as the same one that about 14,256 other bloggers have, so your blog doesn’t stand out in their eyes.

Imagine all the content you’ve put your heart into creating for years being SEEN and your bounce rate dropping.

Imagine getting back all the time you currently spend on tweaking and fighting with your pre-made theme trying to get it to do what you want, so you can get back to the important parts of your business that only you can do.

Imagine a theme that actually looks like you want it to look (without a single second of Googling and hoping and then yelling). You’d have a theme that reflects your vision and your personality perfectly.

Sound better?

The Total Blog Package is a custom theme built just for your big picture and vision.

Here’s how your custom blog will come to life:
  1. You’ll get an in-depth questionnaire
So I can get inside your business and see it how you see it.
  2. We’ll either video chat or you’ll get a video of me walking you through a proposed design for your blog
Since we’ll be face-to-face, you can ask me any questions you have and we can talk about any changes.
  3. Once it’s perfect, I’ll start writing the actual code that will make the blog come to life
  4. Your new design will be installed on your site (launch day!)
  5. You’ll get video tutorials of how to use all of your new features
Along with one week of support for follow-up questions.

Want to connect and learn more?

I know you’re probably wondering how much it costs. For the exact reason there is no one-size-fits-all blog design, there is no one-size-fits-all price. It totally depends on what we build together.

So let’s schedule a chat, and then afterwards, I’ll send you a proposal with either two or three options so you can choose what works best for you.

Wondering if The Total Blog Package is right for you?

Not sure you’re at the right level for a custom blog yet?

That’s why my custom themes are specifically designed to help you achieve your goals. A quality theme will help you get to that level so much faster than chugging along with a pre-made theme that’s doing nothing for your SEO and stickiness.

Not sure I’ll get your vision?

Creating a new blog isn’t just a job for me, I really am passionate about helping YOU succeed. I will ask you a ton of questions (be ready!) and I will LISTEN to every word. I’m not here to make a blog that matches my taste, I’m here to make sure it reflects YOU.

Worried you’re not techy enough?

The theme will be installed for you so it is ready for you to keep blogging! And when we’re finished you’ll get a series of walk-through videos about how to make any changes or updates you want in the future.

  • You have made my recipe index/search page BEAUTIFUL!! Highly functional, I can't say enough good things about it. It is so much easier (and a more aesthetic experience) for people to search for recipes on my site. Before I had just a long list of recipes on one page. It wasn't pretty (at all), it wasn't functional (who has time to scroll through a list to find one recipe?) and it wasn't giving me any additional page views.

    Displaced Housewife
  • My page views and organic search views have definitely increased since last year (they've doubled in some cases), but most notably I have increased my ad revenue by six-fold! You are so responsive, thorough and helpful! Incredible customer service and I so appreciated your patience walking me step-by-step through a variety of different processes that would have taken me much longer to google and figure out.

    The Pancake Princess
  • My pageviews have literally consistently doubled (and in some months, tripled) ever since you helped me migrate my blog from Blogger to Wordpress. I've also noticed that people are actually leaving recipe ratings now, which is amazing for my SEO!

  • Things changed after I started working with Christina. In terms of numbers... I have been able to increase my traffic by 500% and site speed by at least 0.5 seconds. While the increase in traffic is not only because of working with Christina, she has a HUGE part in making my site function to deliver these results. If you need a developer, Christina is the person you need. I call her my secret weapon.

  • Christina totally gets what I need and want... She works quickly and efficiently and I can trust her with my website (my entire business lifeline!). I have the site that's perfect for my brand and she brought my vision to life... My website was a total stress for me, constantly. Now I know I have someone I can turn to. That's a huge relief.
    Rachel

  • I like that Christina listens and sees my vision! I also like her diligence and the level of care she put into our projects. From the beginning, I felt like I could trust her because she gave importance to our projects, because she knows they matter a lot to me. Having her is a game changer and I am forever grateful!!

  • After years of complications with other developers, so much money lost in payments that didn't result in a workable website, hidden costs, and months of unresponsiveness, I was just about to give up. Christina was an absolute dream. Our project only took less than a month (!!! after 3 years!) she was always enthusiastic, warm, creative, responsive, and everything you could want from a developer.

  • I CANNOT say enough good things about Christina. She has been beyond helpful and patient. She is very knowledgeable and was very prompt at responding any question I had. She went far and beyond and I HIGHLY recommend her!
    Rosa G
    Color & Grain
  • Christina is simply amazing! I was pulling my hair out over some WordPress migration issues and she totally saved the day! She was quick to respond and explained everything clearly, and in terms that I could understand. I know who I’ll be contacting next time I have an issue!
    Vanessa C.
  • I cannot say enough good things about Christina! She went above and beyond to help me. I had so many questions and issues but she answered them all and even took the time to create videos to show me what to do. She is wonderful! I will always contact her for blog help. I highly recommend her!

FAQs

How long will the process take?

It depends on how extensive our work together is, but usually 5 to 7 weeks for a full blog design and development.

I’m not a blogger, do you do business sites too?

I have a real soft spot for micro businesses, so I do take on select business websites. Fill out the form and we’ll chat to see if we’re a good fit!

How much does it cost?

Each project varies depending on the needs, but projects start at $6,000, while average is $8,000 – $10,000.

Will there be any hidden fees?

No, that would be rude.

There may be premium plugins I recommend that are not free, but you will not be required to purchase them unless we agree to it before we begin the project.

There is also a financial agreement in our contract that applies to both of us if either one were to be late in keeping up with our agreed upon schedule.

What does the process look like?

In a nutshell:
Video call to meet > Proposal > Deposit > Research/Concepts > Branding (if applicable) > Blog designing > Development > Final payment > Tutorials + Launch

Will you be available for ongoing support?

I never want to leave you without help. My team will be around to answer questions that come up after we’ve launched.

For more additional work, we have two options: The Blogger’s Assistant (VA services on retainer or hourly), or a Blog Refresh where you can book me for a day or two to take care of design and development changes or updates.

Will there be a contract?

Yes. I care about protecting BOTH of us. We both sign it so you can be confident that I will do what I promise (and legally entitled to it).

Are the themes really custom?

100%. I build my own themes from the ground up, (often on top of the Genesis Framework).

I never build on someone else’s themes or using a drag and drop editor–that’s not real or responsible development.

The only way I can ensure that your blog is the highest quality is to build it.

What payment types do you accept?

Credit or debit cards via Square.
Or if you’re a dessert blogger, a steady supply of cookies might also work.

Just working really hard to think clearly today. It's kinda like half my brain is missing, after such a good friend being faithfully at my left leg for 12 years and now he's not.

We had a going away party with his sister and best friends last week (if you ever need pupcakes, @themindfulhapa has a recipe that they go crazy for! And I'm super grateful my picky eater thought they were the best thing I ever gave him--or that he stole right off the plate because he knew it was his party and he could get away with it.). He always seemed to know what was happening and why, all the way to the end when he laid down for the doctor and wanted to comfort *us*.

One of mine is 1/12 scale miniatures. Interior design + before-and-afters + TINY THINGS! Yes, I know it sounds lame, but it's worth being picked on for having "dollhouses" because if you love interior design like I do, it's so. much. fun. This was my mini Anthro-style boutique--only 10" tall. Even the working, arched double doors were made from scratch.
Do you write like you talk? When I started my own Do you write like you talk?
When I started my own blog 9 years ago, as I sat down to write the first post, I decided to purposefully write like I talked instead of using more formal and proper writing. And I'm so glad I did. It's such an easy way to make your blog feel more personal and make your visitors feel like they're hearing from an actual person instead of a corporation.

If you're not sure, read your last post aloud. Is it something you would actually say, the way you would say it?

Yes...I KNOW...SEO... Just make sure to keep it balanced. And don't forget, Google itself wants you to write like a human being, for other human beings.

In Feb of 2016, I started Meyne, selling pre-made WordPress and Blogger themes for small businesses. But after having been a blogger myself since 2011, that was still where my heart was. So the focus shifted to blog designs, where I could help very cool people who have created their own careers and are earning a living doing a very fun (and deceptively hard) job.
Meyne has come a long way and gone through so many changes/new ideas/bad ideas/fun ideas...you know, everything that comes with a business. But the best part is all the great people I've gotten to work with and be a part of THEIR businesses. 🥰

P.S. Many food bloggers have the Instagram call-to-action at the end of a recipe ("Did you make this..."). And that's totally fine, just make sure it's the action that you really want your readers to take. Also ask yourself if they're even doing it. If they're not, you might want to trade out that call to action for something that will get your blog more results. Don't waste their precious attention span!

If something you're doing isn't working, don't jus If something you're doing isn't working, don't just keep doing the same thing with more intensity. I want to share something personal to help you do hard things so you can grow your business. (And if you're a blogger, of course, your blog is your business.) Sometimes, the things we're doing just aren't working. And sometimes when they're not working, we get stuck in this really crappy cycle of:
--> not being able to do all the things you "need" to do for your business --> feeling guilty for letting things slip --> pushing harder because you're not making enough money to justify working so many hours (common with blogging!)
--> letting even more things slip
--> wanting to quit
--> starting over

Sometimes working harder is not the answer. Sometimes we need to stop and change something. But knowing what and how is almost impossible if you're trying to figure it out on your own. So please reach out and get help if you're stuck. Join a mastermind, start a mastermind, hire a coach, email another blogger or business owner and open up, find local peers via the #risingtidesociety
